James Franco doesn`t enjoy acting
The `Milk` star - who was accepted to Yale University to study a Ph.D in English earlier this year - admits the movie world is not his main passion.
He said: "Acting doesn`t do very much for me.
"I put off school for it, but it`s not like it was a sacrifice or anything. I didn`t really miss school until I went back.
"Or maybe I missed it and nobody believed that, not even me. The work of it - and I have really great teachers - that`s the stuff that adds up for me in a way that acting doesn`t."
Despite not being keen on his profession, he is due to hit cinema screens in `Eat, Pray, Love` alongside Julia Roberts.
Discussing the project, Franco told Esquire magazine: "What can I say about `Eat, Pray, Love`?
"Let`s see. You know, in `Eat, Pray, Love`, my character mostly appears n the first 20 pages of the book. And I can definitely say I read the first 20 pages."
Franco currently has a number of movie roles, including `Rise of the Apes`, which he is filming alongside Andy Serkis and Freida Pinto.
